Strategic Planning

To develop an effective strategic plan, an organization must understand what it hopes to accomplish in a given period in the terms of overarching strategy, goals, and objectives. Once these are established, an organization must develop appropriate performance measures to monitor its progress towards the completion of its stated goals. Finally, an organization must develop its processes and activities to produce the desired level of outputs to meet its goals and objective.

 

The strategic hierarchy should be accompanied by a narrative description that describes the specific methods by which an organization proposes to meet the goals, resources required to meet the goals, and an analysis of how the organization develops the resource requirement.
